Membership in the CFAN will provide you with:

  • Information about local, state, and national issues regarding children and families.

  • Training to help your organization build an advocacy team that will work to meet your mission.

  • Opportunities to network with others who have similar advocacy goals.

CFAN Mission

To promote understanding of mission based advocacy among leaders of nonprofit organizations to increase civic engagement and participation to affect changes in public policy on behalf of children, families and communities.

Goals

Create a resurgence of nonprofit leadership in mission-based advocacy.

Create a network that is informed and engaged in mission-based advocacy.

To build the capacities of all nonprofit agencies—through their leaders—to engage in advocacy at the national state, and local levels

To establish a leadership role on behalf of children and families in SWLA by removing or diminishing the barriers to civic engagement through knowledge, networking and relationship building.
