The Children and Families Action Network can help you to become a clear voice for the children and families in Southwest Louisiana. Mission-based advocacy can help your organization deliver vital services to our community. Making your voice heard, you can affect public policy by keeping government officials, media, and citizens informed and educated about our community’s needs.

CFAN Mission

Promoting understanding of mission-based advocacy among leaders of nonprofit organizations for the purpose of increasing civic engagement and participation to affect changes in pubic policy on behalf of children, families and communities.

CFAN membership will provide you with: 

• Information about local, state, & national issues regarding children and families.

• Training to help your organization build an advocacy team that will work to meet your mission.

• Opportunities to network with others who have similar advocacy goals.

Also, as a member of CFAN you will receive frequent email updates concerning legislative activities, advocacy and lobbying opportunities, and upcoming trends concerning nonprofit funding. Training sessions will also be available. Whether you are starting small, or planning a full campaign, you will have access to tools to help better meet the needs of your clients and our community.
