The professional counselors at Family & Youth seek to facilitate the resolution of individual and family problems, which include, but are not limited to: difficulties with children and adolescents, marital and personal problems, depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment to divorce, death, and difficulties in the workplace. All people experience life adjustment challenges and the trained staff at Family & Youth's approach each individual or family challenge as unique with respect for the client's values, areas of strength, and preferences. It is our belief that the healthiest individuals in a family system seek counseling first. Family & Youth is certified under the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) and is licensed by the State of Louisiana. Family & Youth delivers a number of specialized services in addition to individual and family counseling. Some of these services include parenting education, divorce mediation, substance abuse prevention education, teen leadership, leadership for girls, combat veterans readjustment counseling, elderly support, school consultation, career management, business and industry support, crisis intervention, forensic and child advocacy, referral services, and case management. Our agency's professional staff is comprised of eight full-time master's level clinicians from the fields of counseling psychology and social work, with a combined total of over sixty years counseling experience.
