Getting Your Message out Through the Media

Last in the Building Effective Relationships to Maximize Results Series

Date: Thursday, December 10, 2009
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Family & Youth, 220 Louie Street
Cost: $5 for CFAN members, $10 for others, payment accepted at sign-in.

Do you know how to approach the media, or what really makes an issue or event newsworthy?  While many consider the media a fearsome adversary, it can be a very powerful ally if approached strategically!

This panel of media experts from television, radio, and the newspaper will let you know what they look for in a story, how to send them information, and what you need to do to get positive media coverage! Join us for our final training in our series on Building Effective Relationships to Maximize Results and learn how to work with media professionals to get your message out to the people you want to reach!

Each session is $5 for CFAN members and $10 for others.  Please RSVP by e-mailing Ann Bruner at Ann@fyca.org or by calling 337.436.9533.  Please make all checks payable to: Family Foundation of Southwest Louisiana.  Registration is due by Dec. 8, 2009, so that we may order lunch for you.
