Personal Safety: Offer legal assistance and support to affected individuals who may be exposed to additional danger to themselves or loved ones.

Current Status:

SWLA Legal Services, 436-3308, is open  for legal advice. 

The Calcasieu Women’s Shelter, 601 W. 18th St., 436-4552, is open.

People in need of protective orders may contact either of the above referenced offices.

Rape Crisis is open and available for crisis intervention and counseling, call the 24 hr. hotline at 494-7273.

The Office of Juvenile Justice, FINS division, is available to assist with ungovernable children, runaways, and truancy issues.  Call 721-3940.

The Office of Community Services is now open.  Their number is 491-2470, and the 24-hour child abuse hotline is 491-2545.
