Youth Leadership Development
This unique, "Youth Leadership Development" program attempts to assist youth and communities to take ownership for the prevention of violence, early parenthood and drug use. Prevention and education programs can have a significant positive effect on adolescents in curbing their use of drugs, re-shaping their views about parenthood and understanding self control. Leadership development at
Family & Youth is one step in promoting self-respect and responsibility, leading to a healthy and responsible way of life.
Teens participating in this program will be encouraged to use basic leadership skills. The staff will provide opportunities for utilization of learned skills, and will challenge participants to dream, to plan, and to act responsibly. Staff will set clear limits and hold high performance expectations. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance in recognition of their achievement.
It is our belief that our kids want the opportunity and skills to successfully participate in an interactive way in family, schools, and community life.
