It is the mission of Family & Youth to provide affordable and professional support through programs and services dedicated to advocacy, counseling, and education for the people of Southwest Louisiana. Career Youth Summit

Local high school students participated in the Career Youth Summit this summer. They met practitioners in the fields of medicine, arts/education, law, industry, media, and public service to discuss career and education choices.

Michael McGee, Angelette Bartie and Haley Guillory participated in the Media/Public Relations Session. They toured the American Press and visited with Expressions editor Erin Kelly. Pictured below are huge rolls of newsprint.

Angelette Bartie, Haley Guillory, and Lana Abu-Shamat participated in the Art/Education Session. They toured the Lake Charles Theatre Company and met with Artistic Director Kerry Onxley.
