Forty years ago, and after years of extensive discussion and research, the Junior League of Lake Charles recommended to its membership that a family service agency be established to provide affordable and professional services to children and families in Lake Charles. The membership of the Junior League unanimously approved the recommendation and Family Service Agency of Southwest Louisiana started its work on April 10, 1970. more

Employees from Local Industries Donate Christmas Gifts to Children in CASA Program

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a program of Family & Youth recently accepted over 200 gifts from employees of WR Grace and company, Westlake Chemical, and Sasol to give to children who are served by the CASA program. In 2009, the CASA program more served than 200 children. more
