About Infant Mental Health
Jean Valliere, LCSW
Coordinator, Mental Health, Maternal and Child Health

Infant mental health (IMH) involves the exploration of and intervention in the relationship context between the infant or very young child (0-3) and the primary caregiver. Because children grow and develop within this relationship, clinicians working with babies and very young children are wise to understand the paradigm shift that must occur in order to best serve the infant/caregiver dyad. This session serves as a prerequisite for Working with Caregivers and Babies, unless participant has knowledge of IMH. (Track 2) NBCC and LMFT approved.
