Family and Youth Festival

Join us at the Lake Charles Civic Center on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011!

Family & Youth Festival is a fun event promoting family life and family values in a safe and exciting environment. It is a day of appreciation to the people of Southwest Louisiana. Featured again this year is Career Paths, a place for teens to explore career choices in a hands-on environment. Paths include culinary arts, aviation, commercial art, chemistry, pipe fitting and more. As always, kids of all ages will enjoy face painting, petting zoo, live music, cookie decorating, hat making, and much more!

A poplular spot in the Children's Factory is Entergy's Spin Art.	Instructor from Sowela Tech and Community College assists a young man in the Career Paths section of Family Festival.
Tiffany Fontenot and Rep. Mike Danahay	It takes lots of volunteers to make Family Festival happen, and someone has to feed them! The Lake Charles B.E.S.T. group serves lunch.
